Announcement:

COVID-19: Request for donations

Dear SLAG members,

Greetings! We trust you are keeping well and staying safe.
As the Sri Lankan Association of Geneva (SLAG), we would like to launch an appeal to help our motherland during this COVID-19 crisis. We have heard of the challenges faced especially by low income families, daily wage earners and workers in factories, just to name a few.

To date, we have received one request to help 210 low income families in one village, by providing each family with LKR 5,000. We would like to invite our members to also submit proposals, if they are aware of such initiatives. Collective initiatives are preferred. Proposals to help an individual or a family can also be submitted, but our preference is that you fund it directly.

We would like to invite members to contribute in whatever financial capacity they can. Also please encourage children to contribute, even in small amounts. Let us know the names, if a part of the contribution you send is from a child. SLAG’s Executive Committee will decide which project(s) to fund and will keep the membership fully informed.
Please send your contributions to our postal account as follows;

Account name and address: Sri Lankan Association of Geneva, 1200, Geneva
Postal account # :25-595173-0
IBAN # : CH64 0900 0000 2559 5173 0

For further information, please contact any of our Executive Committee members.

With best regards,

Nayana Wickremasinghe

Secretary on behalf of the SLAG Executive Committee
