YEAR-END PARTY

Another year is coming to an end and once again the Sri Lankan Association will host its annual year-end party.

A glittering atmosphere, delicious food, Music and dance all through the night. Santa will be dropping in to see the kids and for the adults we promise a fun filled night.

Date – 4th December, 2004 (Saturday)

VENUE – Salle Polyvalente de Avully 33, route d’Avully, 1237 Avully
Tickets can be purchased at the entrance.
Members – CHF 20; (Children – CHF 10), Guests – CHF 30 (Children – CHF 15)

Programme:

  • 6.30 – Gates open
  • 7.00 – Welcome speech
  • 7.15 – Christmas carols – The SLAG Choir will sing Christmas carols at the Year-end party and Members wishing to take part are kindly requested to contact Mr Rienzie Nanayakkara (022 788 2623) for further information.and
  • 7:30 – Nativity play
  • 8.00 – Dinner
  • 9.00 onwards – Dance to live music of Jackie & the group

SUMMER PICNIC

Newsletter November-December 2004

The Summer Picnic was held on the 29th of August with the participation of a record number of members/guests, at Campagnes de Jonc, Geneva. It was a memorable day for everybody who participated at the event. Both, adults and kids, enjoyed the delicious BBQ and lunch prepared by Stanley Welikala and the games, which included traditional game of Elle, Passing the ring, ‘Feeding Yoghurt’ and a ‘Tug-O-War’. OBITUARIES

SLAG INFO announces with deep regret the following obituaries:

  • Dr.Gamini Abeysekera, brother of Mr Ranjana Abeysekera passed away in Thailand and the funeral took place on the 18th October in Colombo.
  • Mr.D.J.P.Kasturiarachchi, father of Mrs Shirani Hewawithanagamage passed away in Dalugama, Sri Lanka on the 17th October.
  • Mr.Piyadasa Perera Liyanage, father of M/s Jans and Nihal Liyanage, passed away. The funeral took place on the 21st October in Thalahena, Sri Lanka.
  • Mr.Lucious Ratnam, brother of Mr.Augustus Ratnam. The funeral was held in Coppet on the 4th November.

The SLAG expresses its deepest sympathies to the family members of the bereaved.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2005

The AGM of the SLAG will be held in February 2005.
A new Committee will be elected for the year 2005.
All the Members are encouraged to come forward and serve in the Committee
