SLAG Newsletter June 2003

FLOOD RELIEF ASSISTANCE

SLAG donated a sum of CHF 1400 to the Government of Sri Lanka, through the Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in Geneva, for flood relief assistance. Being that as it may, your Executive Committee has decided to allocate some of the proceeds from this year Fête de la Musique for specific private sector/NGO-driven flood rehabilitation projects. Members may participate in these projects by depositing their contributions in the SLAG Bank Account at UBS – 240-122793.LSC specifying ‘flood relief”.

Specifically, our contribution will be directed towards projects that give priority to long-term rehabilitation requirements, e.g., the reconstruction of houses/schools (building materials) and the repair and supply of medical facilities and equipment.
