Dear Members and Friends,

It is with great pleasure that the Sri Lankan Association of Geneva (SLAG) informs you that the Executive Committee of the Association (EXCO) for the year 2017 was appointed by the members, at the Annual General Assembly held on 5 March 2017.

The duly elected members of the Executive Committee (unanimously elected) are as follows.

The success of any organization depends on the active participation of the membership. SLAG has been serving as the leading social and cultural forum for the Sri Lankan community in Geneva and its environs for over three decades. We earnestly look forward to your participation in all cultural, social and charitable events organized by the Association this year.We take this opportunity to sincerely thank the members of the previous Executive Committee for their invaluable dedication towards the activities of the Association during the last year. We would also like to thank the general membership for electing a truly representative Executive Committee at the AGM this year which mirrors our vision in creating a ‘Sri Lankan’ identity in Switzerland. We stand committed to further this cause during the current year too.

The ‘membership drive’ that we began 3 years before produced positive results somewhat but we will continue in the same vein this year too. It is in this light , that we call upon all Sri Lankans in Switzerland and the environs to join our Association. Whilst your support in introducing new members would strengthen the Association we would kindly remind those members of our Association ( SLAG) who have not paid their subscriptions for this year to do so at your earliest.

We look forward to working closely with you in and believe that your continuous support will further strengthen the Association.
